simply great! September 5, 2010 Kats9-6 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like this product becase it is reasonable and good stuff.
I was longing for starting to play instrument. But it was very hard to find to start because I knew nothing about playing music even though I like to listen to. So I picked this product up because I thought If I would dislike it, I would not mind because It is cheap.
Hoever, I am very satisfied with Hohber Old Standly Harmonica, Key of C because I still play harmonica!
Aloso, I met a very wonderful woman the other day and I told her I play harmonica a bit. and then she liked it a lot. That made my day!
Good for the money August 26, 2010 M. Scott 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Old Standby is an apt name. The fit and finish is not as good as the $30 Hohners like the Golden melodies, but it is far better than the plastic toys you normally find at this price point.
This is the cheapest harmonica that you could actually play for several years and not be dissatisfied. A great bargain.
One note is the box it comes in does not flip open like most Hohners, it pulls apart in two halves and so is harder to use and reuse.
Good starter harmonica August 17, 2010 jetdoc (Planet Earth) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well, its Chinese made which quality wise raises a red flag with me (no pun intended). Besides that it makes a good starter harmonica for someone who wants to learn how to play one.
Wonderful August 13, 2010 Kestutis Satkauskas (Shiller park, IL United States) Wonderful harmonica. Solid build, hard plastic body with metal plating. Please note, this harmonica is made in China, I guess that is why price is lower. Still I would definitely recommend
Disappointing July 29, 2010 William Alexander (West Sacramento, CA USA) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have played the Hohner American Ace for years and recently decided to try some of their other low cost harmonicas. I liked the Pocket Pal but do not like the Old Standby at all.
