Product Description Here's a zester that means business! You'll have a mound of zest in seconds flat with minimal effort. This tool also shreds Parmesan and other hard cheeses quickly and efficiently.
Amazon.com Review For fluffy, evenly sized cheese shreds, this is the perfect grater. Its design is based on that of a rasp, the small and efficient woodworking tool. The cutters are especially sharp, which guarantees easy grating. But this also means you'll need to exercise extra caution--no one likes grated knuckles. The large handle allows for a firm grip, and the completely flat grating surface makes it easy to move the cheese across the blades. Carrots, onions, and medium to firm cheeses all worked beautifully with this grater. It's also an excellent choice for larger strips of citrus zest or ginger. --Jill Lightner

Best. Zester. Ever. September 4, 2010 C. K. Smith (New England, USA) I'm a serious cook, and I use citrus zest in a lot of the things I bake, can and cook. I used to dread zesting, because it seemed unusually difficult, took forever, and was a royal pain to clean up after. No more. Until now, I have used a variety of grating instruments. This one has made ALL of them obsolete.
There are several things I love about this tool. 1. It is easy to use. Grating is almost effortless, and it is difficult to injure yourself if you use the zester properly. The actual zest is fine and stringy, not mushy pulp. Fabulous. 2. It fits nicely across the top of a 4 quart saucepan. I can zest right into the pot. The pot rims provide a great stabilizing effect and the only energy I invest is in moving the citrus. 3. This tool is incredibly easy to clean. Unlike the mothballed graters that this item has replaced, cleanup is a cinch. Turn it upside down, use your cleaning brush under running water, flip it, repeat, and you're done. 4. It is easy to store. It fits into my tool drawer, or will hang if you prefer.
If you like citrus zest in your food, buy this right now. It's the best kitchen gadget I have found in years!
Best Grater Every Sold! August 28, 2010 Frank J. Genua (Orlando) This grater is perfect for cheeses and zest. Extremely sharp and simple to clean. Well constructed and will last a lifetime.
Love this little guy! Good for cheese and ginger! August 21, 2010 SierraSarah (San Diego, California United States) This is my second favorite non-knife kitchen product! Grates parmesean cheese with EASE like non other! And it is incredibly easy to clean. I have recently discovered that it does an awesome job with fresh ginger too! Makes lots of ginger juice, so grate in a bowl if you wanna use the juice (awesome with fresh watermelon juice, the ginger gives it a great tang.) And cinnamon... I love this. The Zyliss jumbo garlic press is my fav non-knife product BTW.Zyliss Jumbo Garlic Press with Cleaner
broke August 19, 2010 Bunny (Woodbine, MD) worked as expected untill blade snapped off at handel. Too be fair, I might have pressed too hard on blade.. I have a replacement and use it quite often however I'm now carefull not to press too firmly on blade..
microplane grater/zester August 17, 2010 ds I have been wanting to buy one of these for so long. It is so easy to use! I grate all types of cheeses but most of all it works like a charm for grating lemon and orange peel.
