Science Fair went great December 12, 2008 Mom (Louisiana) We need petri dishes for a 6th grade science fair project. This was the only set that had enough petri dishes for our needs. The agar solution was fine. Directions were easy to understand and everything worked as expected.
Good Kit, Includes Everything Needed - Recommended December 10, 2008 CFH (Blue Ridge Summit, PA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This kit contains enough supplies to make 20 Petri Dishes for growing bacteria. The instructions are well written and easy to follow. We were able to get very good results (my daughter won her division :-) One note on the Agar, be sure to only fill the Petri dishes to the fine line on the inside as there is *JUST* enough Agar to fill the 20 dishes. This kit is a fairly good value and contains high quality materials. Recommended!
Petri Dishes for Third Grade Science Fair Project March 26, 2008 CLM (Massachusetts) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We bought this product for my son's third grade science fair project. They worked very well, we microwaved the agar and poured it into the dishes. After they cooled and gelled, we swabbed different places around the house and stored the dishes in zip lock bags. A couple of days later we had bacteria growing. I would recommend this product, directions were easy to follow and experiment worked.
