I USED to love this toy. It's amazing. It lights up, looks incredible at night, and my daughter loves it. I loved it to, until I found that the dog version of the toy has greater than 600 ppm of lead in the arms, and according to the FDA, toys with over 600 ppm "shall be listed as banned hazardous substances"!

I bought this bear for my daughter 2 years ago as a cuddly night light when she started sleeping alone in her crib, and after sleeping with it every night and carrying it everywhere she went it finally wore out...so I bought her another one!!! She STILL loves this bear at age 3.5 and her big sister (7.5) is so jealous that I will be buying ANOTHER one for X-mas this year!!! We LOVE Glo-E!!!

My youngest daughter received this bear from her grandma last year on her birthday when she was turning 3. The kids have liked playing with it on and off over the year. I was not aware that it was advertised as something to use at nighttime to help your kids fall asleep. However, recently my 3 year old (who is almost 4)will NOT go to bed without it, she seems to have discovered this concept on her own. The only problem we have had is that now my 6 (nearly 7) year old is desperate to have one of her own to sleep with. In fact, just as this daughter was complaining to me about this minutes ago, I peeked into the room of my sleeping 3 year old, and sure enough, her face was lying against that little bear and he was all lit up and softly glowing in her dark room! I decided I better get on amazon to find one for the older girl. It's a hit!
Great bear but change the batteries! November 2, 2008

This bear is very soft and lets off a gentle light. Perfect for little children who are afraid of the dark. One cautionary note, change the batteries immediately when you get it home. The batteries had completely melted in the first one that was mailed to us. We had the second one for about a week before the batteries went. We love the bear itself. Highly recommend this product, just put in different batteries.

I have tons of light up toys, but Glo E Bear is my favorite. This bear is cute, very soft, cuddly, and super bright. I was impressed by the quality of the light shows. It's fun to watch and makes me feel happy. The colors slowly morphing is so soothing, the perfect way to fall asleep. And it automatically turns itself off after a while. My 2 year old nephew loves it! It's also a great gift for ravers. I'm buying more to give away this Christmas.
