I got this for my 7 year old son and he has loved it. The joints are able to pop out and back into place to keep a kid from destroying it. Optimus' head get stuck at times but that's as close to a complaint as I have. It had a little bit of a learning curve for my son but he's got it now.

When my son opened this gift he was very excited. He's been asking for transformers since the movie. He was very happy to receive them. They are also easy to move around and transform. I received a huge hug for this toy.

My son got this as a Christmas gift. What a mistake! In addition to the difficult transformation from robot to car and vice versa, the pieces also come apart! The instructions are in black and white and they are DIFFICULT to follow. It took an adult 30 minutes to convert from robot to vehicle while trying to decipher the instructions! This toy is probably more suitable for an older child...maybe 8?

My 6 year old son had seen these and thought they looked really cool. We got them for Christmas (at Amazon's low price of around $10 or so), and these are one of his favorite gifts! They seem more durable than many transformers made now. My son also said (Like another reviewer said) that the Megatron in the package is actually Galvatron (which he says is another form of Megatron or Megatron's brother or something?) These are also not hard for him to transform. I definitely recommend these transformers!

I got a great price on these so I ordered a few for birthday gifts. Perfect item to have on hand for boys 5-10. I wouldn't buy these particular transformers for anyone under 5, they are not easy to transform.
